Our Final 5-Minute Mystery Update

Hello backers!

We’re happy to announce that we've completed fulfillment of the 5-Minute Mystery Kickstarter! 

If you haven’t received your game yet:

First, make sure you completed your survey... we can't ship out your order until you provide your shipping address!

Next, check your shipping confirmation e-mail. If you didn’t receive one, you can still access your shipment information on your BackerKit survey at https://5-minute-mystery.backerkit.com/. Look for a “View Confirmation” button at the top right. 

If your shipping confirmation says something like “Ship to Team Board Game”, “Ship to Battlefield”, etc., then your order is being sent to a shipping hub in your country for fulfillment. Unfortunately, these shipments take a long time to arrive, so your order may still be in transit. However, when the hub receives the shipment, they will send you an e-mail letting you know when you should expect to receive your game.

If your BackerKit survey doesn’t have a “View Confirmation” button, or if your shipment appears to be stuck, please let us know at [email protected] and we’ll look into your order for you.

We do have some games left over, but our stock levels vary by depot. So if you would like to place a second order (or you know someone who does), please submit your request by completing the form at https://wiggles3d.com/mystery/reserve/. We’re working our way through the list now and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can about whether the games you want are still available in your country.

US and Canada Fulfillment Underway

When we ran the 5-Minute Mystery Kickstarter campaign last December, we specified an estimated delivery date of September 2020. Of course, that was before COVID-19 and all the crazy disruption it caused… but we’ve done everything in our power to keep that date. And it’s been a rocky road, but today, we’re happy to announce that the final pieces are coming into place!

So here’s a quick update:

USA

Fulfillment is ramping up at our US warehouse. We managed to ship out about 100 orders last week, but much of the week was consumed by getting orders staged. This week we should be able to really crank them out!

Backers will receive shipping confirmation emails as their orders ship out. 

Canada

Our shipment of games finally arrived at our warehouse here in London on Friday!

The depot has already begun preparing orders and they hope to ship the majority of them out this week. We will send you a shipping confirmation email as soon as the depot informs us that your order has shipped.

That’s the good news! Now the bad news...

Pickup Event Cancelled

If you’re a returning backer, you’ll know that we traditionally hold a pickup event so local backers can drop by to meet our team and pick up their games from us in person. We love these events, as they’re a great way to close off the campaign and meet some of the backers who made the project possible.

So, naturally, we planned to host such an event for 5-Minute Mystery as well. However, after much discussion, we have decided that we must cancel the event due to concerns about COVID-19.

We hope that things clear up by the time of our next Kickstarter so we can revive this fun tradition!

Everywhere Else

Aside from a few exceptions, fulfillment is complete in the rest of the world! Have fun playing 5-Minute Mystery!

Shipping Update

Hello backers!

We have some new developments in fulfillment timing to share with you today:

US and Canada

Great news! Our container of games is scheduled to arrive at our warehouse in Chicago tomorrow!

As it turns out, the shipment was delayed because of a customs inspection that we just learned about this morning... right before they released it.

When the container arrives tomorrow, the warehouse will need a little time to receive it and split off the shipment for our Canada depot. But, assuming we have no more surprises, we should be able to start shipping to U.S. backers early next week. Shipments to Canadian backers will follow shortly after, once the Canada depot receives its shipment.

We apologize for the delay and recognize that you are all eager to receive your games, especially when backers in other parts of the world have already received theirs. Please be patient just a little longer!

Asia

There were some minor scheduling issues with our depot in China, but they’ve been sorted out now, so fulfillment should begin this week. Backers will receive a shipping notification by e-mail from VFI Asia when their order is processed.

Europe, Australia, and New Zealand

GamesQuest and Aetherworks have completed fulfillment! If you are in Europe, Australia or New Zealand, and have not yet received a shipping confirmation, please let us know at [email protected] and we’ll confirm that your order was shipped out.

Damaged, Missing or Defective Components

If you’ve received your game and there’s a product quality issue, we want to know about it! Please send us an e-mail (with a photograph, if possible) to [email protected] and we’ll make sure you get a replacement.

Timer Apps and Translated Instructions Now Available

We’re excited to announce that the webpage for 5-Minute Mystery is now LIVE at 5minutemysterygame.com!

It features:

• Links to the timer apps for Apple and Android devices, which are now available for download
• Downloadable PDFs of the instructions translated into seven different languages 
• A FAQ section covering some unusual situations not specifically covered by the rules
• a link to the Late Pledge Store, in case you know anybody who missed out on the Kickstarter

Shipping Update  

Our depot in the UK is hard at work getting shipments rolling for all of our backers in Europe.

The depots in Australia and Asia should be receiving their games in the next week or two, and then they'll begin the process of shipping them out as well.

As for North America, the container is still en route, so it’s hard to be specific about exactly when we’ll be able to fulfill orders to the US and Canada. We’ll announce more details for those countries as soon as we can.

We’re Locking Addresses Tomorrow!

Just as a reminder - Friday, August 14 is the last day to change your shipping address.

Some of you have reported that you did not receive the address confirmation email from BackerKit. If that's the case, no problem... you can still check your address! Here’s how:

• Go to the 5-Minute Mystery Backerkit page and enter your e-mail address.
• BackerKit will email you a new survey link. 
• Click that link to access your survey and check your address. 
• If you need to change your address, use the “Edit Shipping Info” button.

But don’t delay! After tomorrow, BackerKit will lock down your address and you won’t be able to change it after that.

What if I need to change my address after lockdown?

We understand that something might come up that requires you to change your address after we’ve locked it down. If that happens, just reach out to us by Kickstarter message or by e-mail at [email protected] and we’ll do what we can to help.

European fulfillment starts next week!

More great news! Our depot in Europe, GamesQuest, tells us that the container has arrived and we should be able to start fulfilling European orders next week.

At the moment, it looks as though fulfillment for Asia and Australia will happen in early September, and for North America it will likely be late September. We’ll send out additional updates as we get more information.
